Meet the Dancers

Gabriela
Gabriela is a professional belly dancer from Toronto. Her cheerful dance style and unique musical interpretation have made her a sought after performer in the Middle East community.
She has loved to dance all her life and began to learn the art of belly dancing at the age of 14. She received most of her training in Buenos Aires, Argentina and in 2015, she graduated as a belly dancing instructor. Drive to expand he knowledge, she has taken lessons with instructors from all over the world.
Gabriela currently teachers belly dance in Toronto and performs at private events and festivals. She has been dancing at The Sultan's Tent since 2016.

Claudia
Claudia is a Toronto based professional bellydancer with over 10 years of experience. Having studied with established world renowned artists such as Yasmina Ramzy, Bassam Bishar, Suleiman Warwar, Robert DeRosier, Camelia of Cairo, Mohammed Salah, Jeff Dimitriou, Sashar Zarif, Ferda Bayazit and many more.
Claudia has been fortunate to receive rich and thorough training. From 2006 to 2017 Claudia was a Lead dancer for Yasmina Ramzy's professional company, Arabesque Canada. During this time she performed in 5 major productions alongside the company orchestra at Fleck Dance Theatre. More recently Claudia has been studying the art of flamenco with international and touring artist Maria Serrano. Using flamenco as a tool to improve and diversify her bellydance artistry, Claudia continues to perform as a soloist throughout the city.

Stephany
Stephany Moneo is a professional belly dancer, originally from Caracas, Venezuela. Her dance form stands out for the combination of several techniques and the fusion of different styles of oriental dance.
With more than 10 years of experience, Stephany has emerged as a very influential dancer in her hometown.
Her charisma and staging stand out and make her performances unique and unforgettable. Her professionalism has led her to appear at multiple private events in Toronto.

Nour
Nour has been bellydancing professionally for 14 years,and dancing unprofessionally since she was old enough to walk! You may have seen her perform at restaurants, weddings, birthdays and cultural events across the GTA including the CNE, Carassauga and Canada Day at Yonge-Dundas Square; in the paper, on the web or on City TV.
Nour has trained extensively with Habeeba Hobeika; and she is a longtime member of Habeeba's Egyptian Dance Ensemble. Nour also studied with Nada El Masriya, Orkideh at Serpentia North, Audra at Darkside and many of the big name dancers who come to town including Rakia, Randa, M. Reda and Dr. Geddawi.
Nour's specialty is classic Egyptian Raks Sharqi and wedding entertainment. However, she loves folklore the best, especially Reda style and Saidi. She also dabbles in Dabke, Iraqi, contemporary Oriental and fusion styles.

Katrina
Katrina is a Toronto based Dance Artist who has focused most of her dance training in Egyptian style Belly dance. She was a regular performer with Arabesque Dance Company for 6 years, and was fortunate to perform in 5 full scale productions with live Arabic musicians.
This experience nourished her love of Middle Eastern music, and she continues to enjoy it as a regular performer at The Sultans Tent.

Vivian
Vivian is a professional bellydancer based in Toronto. She has always been surrounded with dance and music. She was taught by Dariya Mitskevich and graduated from her professional training class. She’s been performing and teaching classes ever since.
She won 2nd place of professional soloist from Hamilton International Bellydance Competition, she performed on air at CANADA NATIONAL TV (CNTV) for Chinese New Year Gala. She joined Yasmina Ramzy’s professional dance company Arabesque Canada in 2019, and performed in a dance film production 《Al Qamar》which was presented at international film festivals in 2021.
Vivian is performing at The Sultan’s Tent regularly, exploring and passing the passion of Bellydance.

Marta
Marta Korzun, a Ukrainian bellydance champion and the 2011 World bellydance champion, possesses an exceptional talent in the art of Raks El Sharqi. With her distinct style, she has graced stages and shared her expertise in over 56 countries. Presently, Marta is imparting her knowledge and captivating audiences through teaching and performing in Toronto.
